15th June


Great spots around the Triangle area.

Good day for the woodpeckers. Seem to be quite a few young around generally. A few Blackcaps and Wrens still singing. Single House martin over on Sunday was a first here for the year.

  1. hi jack - i was walking round the lake yesterday eve and saw small brownish bird, thought at first was female blackcap but song more like garden warbler - but would they sing this late?

    would love to join you again sometime - good way to learn stuff!

    Err not sure, some of the Black caps are still singing but the females never would. Garden warbler are more greenish than brown though...

    Been away a lot recently and am off away agan at the weekend. Will put up a post when I know I'm heading out for sure.
